Vessel Type: USL 3C Rock Lobster Fishing Vessel
Based in Portland, Victoria in Australia, professional rock lobster fisherman Richard (Dick) Smith, launched his new Global Marine Design 38′ in November 2002. Expertly built by Colin Smith Boat builders of Port MacDonnell in South Australia, this new aluminium vessel was finished by Dick to an exceptionally high standard. Since the vessel has been equipped with a charter license for 12 passengers, Dick spent many hours ensuring that the finish and comfort level were of a high standard. This hull is a great performer, being the sister vessel to Peter (Sandy) Sandow’s boat that was launched in 2000 and fishes out of Warrnambool in Victoria, just down the coast.
“I could not have wished for a steadier boat”
