Vessel Type: NSCV 3C Rock Lobster Fishing Vessel
Built by Colin Smith Boat Builders in Port MacDonnell, this brand new design and Marine Kit has set the new standard for sea keeping, stability, softness of ride and load carrying in a 50′ rock lobster vessel.
Powered by a 750hp Volvo D16 engine and swinging a large 5 blade prop through a Twin Disc gearbox, the sprint speed is 24 knots at 1900 RPM, with a comfortable cruise speed of 19 knots.
The large aft work deck is a clear 4.6m wide, meaning five 3′ pots can be stacked across it’s width. A rarity in a vessel this size!
While originally design for rock lobster fishing, this versatile hull is also well suited to use as a work boat, charter boat or patrol.
