Gavin started competitive sailing at the age of nine, representing his state in National sailing competitions. Gavin has grown the company to a highly respected design consultancy and kit boat supplier and has taken on the overall role of managing the company and final design approvals. Gavin has been responsible for winning the export sales an increasing number of vessels in kit form to Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand and the United Kindom. When Gavin is not working, he loves to deep sea fish in his own live-aboard 42' kit boat "Tequila Sunrise", whilst doing imitations of Jimmy Buffet songs on his guitar.

 Sue Mair Finance Director Gavin’s business partner Sue, has provided the marketing and office support in the export of vessels into the markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, the U.K. and New Zealand. Her experience includes the preparation of export quotes, terms of payments, including Letters of Credit and credit management, along with shipments. Her dedication to the financial side of the export sales has seen the company develop a reputation for efficient terms of trading and prompt delivery packages. |

 Alex Babaeff Technical Manager Assoc. Diploma Mechanical Engineering 1998
Fluent in Spanish, Alex joined the company in 1996, prior to his graduation in Mechanical Engineering. Alex specialises in aluminium kit boats and has built his own 17’ runabout. Alex was involved in detailing the export of the six vessels in kit form to Singapore and Thailand, particularly in relation to the ‘nuts and bolts’ of each kit package. Alex has grown to the role of technical kit manager with Global Marine Design

Matt joined the Global team in April 2003 from the Oceanfast design office. Matt has been design drafting and is into his third year in the Marine Industry, holding diploma qualifications in Building Design and a very specialized Certificate in Ship Construction for Ship Builders. Matt is a water spots enthusiast and has a strong passion for anything that floats...

 Diana Scott Marine Interior Designer Diana is a recent addition to the team, having recently worked with the Feadship group overseas in Holland. Diana has also been involved working at Oceanfast, Wavemaster International, SBF Shipbuilders and McAlpine Marine Design. She also brings to our company a wealth of experience in the field of Interior Design Ever since Diana was born in Zimbabwe she has been brought up on her father's home built Tri-marans. Diana has spent several weeks sailing around the Whitsunday’s as well as the west coast of Australia on both her father’s yachts as well as the Sail training ship the “Leeuwin”.

 Andrew Baker Consultant Naval Architect Bach. Engineering (N.A.)
Andrew has a degree in Naval Architecture from the University of New South Wales and joined the team in 2000. He has spent many years racing both sailing dinghies and yachts, achieving a sixth overall in the 1996 505 World Championships. Andrew set up his own consultancy after gaining further experience at GMD and consults to our company for FRP and mathematical modelling of structures.
