Gavin started competitive sailing at the age of nine, representing his state in National sailing competitions. Gavin has grown the company to a highly respected design consultancy and kit boat supplier and has taken on the overall role of managing the company and final design approvals. Gavin has been responsible for winning the export sales an increasing number of vessels in kit form to Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand and the United Kindom. When Gavin is not working, he loves to deep sea fish in his own live-aboard 42' kit boat "Tequila Sunrise", whilst doing imitations of Jimmy Buffet songs on his guitar.

 Alex Babaeff Technical Manager Assoc. Diploma Mechanical Engineering 1998
Fluent in Spanish, Alex joined the company in 1996, prior to his graduation in Mechanical Engineering. Alex specialises in aluminium kit boats and has built his own 17' runabout. Alex was involved in detailing the export of the six vessels in kit form to Singapore and Thailand, particularly in relation to the 'nuts and bolts' of each kit package. Alex has grown to the role of technical kit manager with Global Marine Design

 Stephen Tyler Marine Design Engineer Steve has worked with GMD on an 'as required' basis since the early 1990's, whilst engineering a Global 22m DNV crew boat. Steve's strong technical knowledge in the marine high speed craft sphere along with his significant engineering management experience in the marine industry has seen him involved with an extensive range of high profile projects. Residing in the Philippines, Steve consults to GMD providing highly detailed designs and drawings for engineering systems. Recent accomplishments include the Alicat 20m Wind Farm Engineering along with a 19m AIR RIDER for the Malaysian Marine Department.

 Nenad (Ned) Granic Marine Drafting and 3D Modelling Ned is a European based GMD team member trained in the GMD head office in Australia and in 2009, moved to his wife's home country of Serbia. His wide knowledge base is acquired from work in Information Technology and practical experience in fabrication. This has provided Ned with an in depth understanding of the requirements of boat development. He has been a part of GMD team since November 2006. At the moment, he enjoys travelling, being outdoors and sailing on a wonderful blue Danube. Ned has excelled at 3D modelling since his introduction to it at GMD and takes the role of our 3D modeller. |

 Yong Pil Kwon Trainee Naval Architect Kwon studied naval architecture and Ocean Engineering in Hong Ik University in Korea, graduating in February 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture. His experience includes working at the Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute (KORDI), Lighten Naval Architecture in Sydney, Australia , Department for Planning and Infrastructure (DPI) in Perth, Australia and GHI Yachts in Mokpo, Korea. His many duties at GHI included Project Manager, chief Naval architect, Quality Control, Design Team Manager and Compliance with Lloyds, ABS and Korean Registry. |
