"Loligo" - 22.6m Oil Field Maintenance Vessel

April 2005 saw the launching of our very latest high speed aluminium catamaran work boat. Powered by a pair of Caterpillar C32, 1,400 BHP per side engines, coupled to Hamilton 652 jets and propelling a sleek hull, the top speed of 26 knots with cruising at 20 knots+ (including the tonnes of fendering !!), saw this 70 tonne vessel bring a huge grin to the owners face... On ya Louie !! With true Fine Entry efficiency, the vessel was launched and sea trialed within the week and followed by 250 hours of coastal trials before being brought into comission in the North West of Western Australia.

"Tanjung Putri" 14.5m Patrol Catamaran

The first of a fleet of six catamaran patrol/work vessels, built by Scana Industries of Sabah, Malaysia (utilising a Global Marine M.K.A.T. team) for the Sabah Marine Department, was launched in August 2003. After initial sea trials confirmed the contract speed of 28 knots, Global Marine Design set to work to fine tune the vessel to achieve a final sprint speed of 34 knots (at full load) with the use of 'G.Speed’ Foils. These vessels are powered by a pair of MAN 610 HP engines and Hamilton 362 Water Jets.
