A specialist 22.6m jet power offshore work catamarn, developed for the Bhagwan Marine fleet in 2004 has been operating with great success now for several years. Because of the nature of the jet application, we went to the tank testng facility in Tasmania to verify the design and performance, achieving wihtin 1 knot of the design speed on loaded speed trials. This one was built at the Fine Entry Marine yard in Geraldton, Western Australia.

Additional Information
The "Loligo" was specifically designed ot be able to perform shallow water work where the other deep keeled vessels can not access...with great success for Bhagwan Marine. As we often see with this type of waterjet, they are very sensitive to load, resultign i a fairly quick drop in boat speed as cargo is added ... also when the hull gets 'dirty' with marine growth, the jets struggle and the vessel speed drops down to around 20 knots.
