RIB Vessels

Rigid Inflatable Boats is a term used worldwide to describe hulls that predominantly have rigid hulls of either fibreglass or aluminium, with an inflatable collar.

The characteristic of RIB vessels is very high stability, enabling them to carry high loads and also operate in rough seas / breaking waves, with less chance of capsize than conventional hulled vessels.

We at global Marine Design have developed a whole range of ALL ALUMINIUM RIB vessels over the past decade or so, mostly driven by the high demands of work boat operators who know that most inflatable boats will not stand up to the rigours of coming alongside other vessels, steel barges, wharfs and offshore platforms.

As a result, we have our own unique (although many have copied us since) hexagonal folded aluminium collars on most of our work and passenger RIBs.

We do also have some SOFT CLLARED RIBs in our range.
