"Borderline" - 21m Offshore Work Catamaran
20th July 2007

MK06092

This is our latest Offshore Work Catamaran having commenced construction in Thailand in May 2007. We are expecting a January 2008 sea trial and handover, with the vessel returning to Karratha in Western Australia, most likley under its own power.

This new Cat is being built at the Seacrest yard in Thailand, builders of several previous GMD patrol vessels. This is their first cat of our unique deep see offshore design.

Powered by a pair of "B" rated Caterpillar C32's giving us 1100 HP at 2100 RPM, we expect a sprint speed around the 27 knot mark and cruising around 22+ knots in most sea condiitons.

Stay tuned as we update photos of the build.

Stand up all you wanna be passage makers ... this is the perfect pocket live aboard catamaran to allow extended coastal crusing . . .
The new PACIFIC 46 is the second catamaran passagemaker in our stable of economcal offshore catamaran vessels and is closely based on the highly successful "Buzzcat 42" passagemaker cat.
It was launched in December 2004 and exceeded the 76 year old owners' expectations, achieving 15 knots on the pair of small 150 HP diesels.

"Tequila Sunrise" - 12.45m Sports Cruiser
18th March 2005

What a machine !!!

The "Tequila Sunrise" has been totally re-fitted since June 2004 and now boasts all the trimmings of an excellent live aboard and coastal cruising vessel.

Global Marine Designs own vessel, this smart design incorporates a whole lot of excellent and functional ideas, culminating in a boat that cruises at a genuine 17 knots and sprints at 21.5 knots.

It is so well appointed with genset, plenty of hot water, flat screen, surround sound and an awesome aft deck and dive/fishing platform.

Check this one out.

Thailand Patrol, "Seacrest 36"
14th February 2003

This stunning performer was built in Thailand by SeaCrest for the Thailand Marine Police and launched on December 24th, 2002. With a contract speed of 24 knots loaded, the vessel achieved 26 knots at full load with a ride performance that will be very hard to beat. The hull is a deep vee with longitudinal planing strakes making the ride very soft and the tracking superb. It is powered by a pair of Volvo 150 H.P. Duo-Prop Diesel sterndrive engines. Vessel detailing was by Diana Scott of GMD.
