In the mid 1990's, director Gavin Mair recognised that selling Marine Kits alone to customers, does not fully service their needs.

In many cases, the buyer is a shipyard with personnel skilled in STEEL shipbuilding or even other materials and they often require fast track assistance to get their Aluminium skills up to a professional level.

To address this need, Gavin Mair set about assembling a group of skilled aluminium shipbuilding personnel who can travel to any corner of the world and supervise the assembly of our kits, hence the formation of the Marine Kits Assembly Team.

We have a range of individuals and teams within our MKAT structure to offer, from our Thailand Team, headed by a highly experienced aluminium shipbuilder, through to our 'Australian' team headed by our master shipbuilder. In addition to this, we can offer a comprehensive marine engineering team.

This means that your shipyard does not have to undergo the trial and error procedure of finding the right people for the job... we supply them directly to you.

In a typical project, we may recommend that our MKAT team work with you for a three to six month period. This may vary right up until the sea trials for the vessel, or conversely, be for a period of only several months until your own building yard gains the necessary skills to proceed efficiently with the project.
